Virtual baby dragons to use on web site and forums.

Mimzy started this conversation

My daughter showed me these the other day and they are cute. It's something to put in your signature on forums or on your web site.

It's just a little virtual pet, something to make you smile and have fun with. We can all use a little of that - and most folks I know like baby dragons. lol

I don't know if my code will show up but I'm going to give it a try on here and see if it works. Hmm? Well, at least the picture showed up.

But if you want to go get your own little dragon eggs - check out the Dragon Cave.

in response to Mimzy...   Hello and that is great. I hope you get your stove. I am hanging in here just my hand bruised and another thing to trip about. Things are just slow now. I will be laying down for a nap as hand hurts to type with.
Right now can't think as hand hurts and wonder what is wrong and how did it get that way. Then about money paying bills finding part time work.
Good luck and thank you for the message.
hugs

in response to Starshine...   I've been busy as a cat in a barn full of mice! In fact, I'm about to start looking for re-enforcements soon!
I've been working on the site for my client and then after the meeting I went to I have another site to do quickly in 2 weeks and then there are 3 more on the block waiting to get the go ahead.

I don't know if I'm coming or going half the time. Thankfully they will be helping to keep my elect. and cable on so I won't have that worry.

Although my child support has not come in again which means I'm still $200 out again this month. I'm needing that money to help find a stove so I can bake again. I so miss having pies and making roasts, the kids miss my casseroles and we often made meatloaf together. Imagine - kids that like meatloaf and spinach quiche...the actually compete over who gets the last piece.

I don't know why, but I don't seem to be bringing in much from the adsense as I did during the holidays. Maybe it's cause I've been so busy I've not been able to get in here as often. Plus I don't seem to be getting many messages either. I guess with this winter weather everyone is busy trying to keep from being blanketed in snow. I'm just glad it isn't here any more.

It's still chilly, 44 degrees right now...and I try not to put the little heater on too much cause I don't want the elect bill to creep up too high. But I'm all bundled up with a sweatshirt and my thick stretch pants. My fingers and toes are still cold cause I can't type with gloves on and I gave my daughter my ducky slippers to keep her feet warm. I've got a small crochet blanket I made on the floor under my desk to tuck my feet into when it gets really cold.

It would be nice to someday have enough income that I can move away from here onto some land with a wonderfully open and airy double wide with central heat and air. A little fireplace and no more stairs! Then I can either sell this place to someone and get some of my money back out of it. It would be far too costly to get the place fixed up like I'd like to...I just haven't got those kinds of funds. It's in a nice location, but it needs more work than I could afford to put into it.

If I made the sort of money that the emails I get boast about - thousands per week - then it would be worth it to fix it up and then rent it out. Sorta like those vacation villas - there's room to make it into a duplex and not lose any space. But that's just day dreams for right now...

I have to run, I've only a few hours before I end up having to take a nap. I think I'm pushing too hard, but I've little choice since I need the money as badly as I do. I really don't like needing it...or having to work all the time. But at the moment, I've no choice if I want to take care of my family...

Hang on tight there, you will get it all straightened out in no time. Everything will turn out alright...just take it a step at a time...it will all fall in line..good luck.

in response to Mimzy...   Oh yes a horse person from day one. Yes and if a stable had been built across the street then I would have had a different job. I rode at a stables and did things for free rides.
I worked on badges too and love the horse one the best. Had fun times but never took it serious as the leader's daughter did. To me time to learn and have fun not something I wanted to do for life.
what is the ritzgrp?
License stolen 8/2009 from apartment by ex neighbor and then one next door doesn't come in as she does my things went missing. So I was rather depressed about it making appointments then someone to take me then find out can't so I think I am in a rut. When you go from being able to keep car fixed to having license and credit cards and cash stolen. The license being ripped off was the biggest item missing. So now to get a hold of dmv again plus they moved their office too. So that doesn't help.
oh well I will get it or not then go through whatever else thing I need to do to get at least ID not the way I though things work out and one of the reasons want to move from here. The place hasn' t been a good experience...
Stay in touch .
Enjoyed hearing from you.

in response to Starshine...   Oh dear...you are a horse person too. Should have seen it. lol
I was forever at the stable, plus the nice thing about Scouts was that I knew the stable we'd go to...I worked there in the summer. When I was staying with my Uncle on the ranch...it was farm work (which isn't really work cause you have a lot of fun when you're a kid doing it.)
Clearing a field of rocks, pulling up Marigolds that had taken over a field left to fallow for a year...lol I was a squirt of about 4' trying to yank up Marigolds that were about 6' high and wearing oversized work gloves and digging round the roots with a hand trowel. My cousins are ripping up plants and tossing them around all about me.
We looked like someone had dumped a truckload of pixie dust on us when we came out of that field! I got stuck being called "Tink" for that week while we reclaimed that field since I was small and trailed yellow dust everywhere I went...lol

When I wasn't at my Uncle's and I was staying with my Mother...I would try to get to a stable and plead to work there. Mucking stalls and grooming, I would show that I knew my way around and would mostly end up getting in really tight with the owner.
Which is why when our troop leader was looking for a stable we could ride at...I recommended the one I worked at. So not only did I drum up some much needed business, I got to be the one who knew where everything was and which horses would fit who in the troop. The owner of the stable liked the idea and actually started planning out how to add a bunkhouse to set up a dude ranch side business.

See? even as a little squirt I was into things...maybe I'm a muse of sorts myself. lol

That ritzgrp is the site I'm doing right now. I've even got three sites of my own, plus I got a fourth to collect all my sites into as a big portfolio site...besides it will help me keep track of all my sites, blogs and profiles too. There is so many pieces of me floating about that I really need to start gathering them up. lol

Now what is this about a stolen license...when did that happen?
I still need to get my ID renewed...I've just had to wait to get the money for it...and with the bills due and the child support not showing up...grrr... I'm behind as usual.

Oh, doing badges was sorta my hobby. I had a tendency to do them on my own though. I had plenty of adults that signed off for my parts - plus the troop leader used to shake her head when I'd come in to show here all I'd done. She'd sign my page and then off I'd go to finish up the other 3-4 I was still working on...
I couldn't help it really...I liked the little patches...lol
I wasn't the sort for Jamboree's or for Camp and such...I preferred working on my own and doing other things. The creative dabbler, the book one, storyteller, family tree, pets, horseback riding, bowling, archery, first aid, lol I can see in my memory all those little patches & pictures swirling around...lol
Unfortunately, I never knew what happened to my sash or my uniform. When I came back one summer...my Mother had moved and I don't know where all my things went. I knew there was a lot of things missing from my boxes, stuff I never found. Plus I would have had to been a cadet if I went back, but earning money for what I needed seemed to take presidency over scouts at that time.
I'd even stayed a scout an extra year, just so that my pals and I could become cadets together. I had a really sweet leader, she understood...I even got a chance to earn a few special badges that year since I had so many and there wasn't many left to get.
Sometimes I think it would've been different if I'd been able to stay in the scouts...but we can't reroll the dice of life...even when we really wish we could.

Okay have waffled on long enough so stay warm, hope that things work out for you and take care of yourself...

in response to Mimzy...   It is cold in the morning here and night. No snow but give me 60 in the morning and 80 during the day with lots of sun I can gt too. Good news you have a client that is great!!! It seems quiet here but all over the net. Maybe football Sunday people are planning for that. Is the site you are working on the website you have here? I hope it works out for you big time. Sounds just what you needed. I have to reschedule appointment to get darn stolen license so that is freaking me out at the moment. LOL I had a hard time making a site for another about my cat. I still need to work on it. I can not imagine doing 20 sites.
Or don' t count your chickens till they hatched mom use to say too. I was a Brownie and Girl Scout. The latter was okay. I just liked it when we went to camp and I got to ride horses so I would slip away to the stables to be around the horses when I could verses work on badges.
Stay in touch and good luck.

in response to Starshine...   Brrrr! It's been so chilly...I've had to bundle up with the way the weather's turned. It's also very quiet in here too. Not much going on when I pop in.
Granted I've been busy busy busy...lol just like a little bee.
I'm glad to have gotten this client...she told me the other day that they'd been getting good reviews about the site.
And that she was giving out my info to those that may need some web work done!
That's good - yet it scares me as there is only 1 of me doing all this work. I may have to look into finding some others to outsource some work to if I get too much of it.

Then I'm meeting with her on Mon. to discuss working on at least another 20 sites. (ack! I almost fell off my chair when she told me that!)
So looks like I'm going to be very busy - now if this would fatten up my bank account and get it off life support..then it would be even better!
I'm still a bit worried about the child support - got a message in but don't know if my worker at Child Support will see it... it's hard to get anything past the receptionist ranks.

I'm going to have to do some of my projects inbetween doing the other stuff or when there is some down time. As I still have some other income streams I'm working on.

Never put all your eggs in one basket...lol Learned that tale as a kid and never forgot it. lol
It served me well when I listened to it. Another was always have a back up plan...or a couple more. It doesn't hurt to be prepared...lol
Guess being a girl scout paid off in some ways...lol

Well hope that you're doing well and keeping warm. We've had cold rain for days. Can imagine what it would be like if it was all snow...brrr! That's making me frozen just thinking about it...what I wouldn't do for a warm fireplace right about now. lol
Next place is most definitely going to have one...

Take care and talk soon...
